Take a journey without leaving home! This colorful quilt is made from hundreds of small squares arranged in radiating bands that create a beautiful diamond-like journey from the center outward. The gradual shifts in color make the quilt look almost like the colors are traveling around the center- one of the reasons this pattern is so visually captivating.
This quilt is a wonderful choice if you want a quilt that feels both traditional and strikingly modern. The pattern has a lot of movement without relying on complicated appliqués or large motifs, so it makes an especially eye-catching bed quilt.
Impressively, a typical Trip Around The World quilt can contain 1,200-3,000 individual one inch squares! The Trip Around The World quilt pattern has a long history, with museum examples dating back to the late 1800s.
Our Trip Around The World quilts are all hand stitched by Amish women in and around Lancaster County, PA. Come see for yourself.
